The Inn at Fox Briar Farm

A photo of The Inn at Fox Briar Farm
Venue Type: Barn & Farm. Vibe: Rustic, warm, peaceful

This hidden gem is a warm and inviting place to host your wedding. A restored home and barn of the Jamison family in 1960's, who also owned and transformed the 5 minute walk to the then known "chicken farm" into what is now famously known as Peddler's Village. The Jamison family lived and grew up together in this home, until one of the grown children in 2021, Donna, purchased the property with her husband, Jeff.

Tucked away behind Peddler's Village, crossing a stone bridge leading to the 50 acre property, 3 ponds, garden lawns and spring houses. Choice of indoor ceremony location in the fully restored barn or loft side, or outdoor ceremony in the breezeway lawn. Includes a bridal suite for dressing and tack room for the groomsmen to get ready. On the property is an 8-room Inn for your guests. In addition, the Golden Plough Inn with 60 additional rooms is within walking distance in Peddler's Village. Catering access to staging kitchen with 2 large storage areas with easy load in. Brick walkway carves a winding path down hill from the terrace and barn entrances to the Inn. As you walk down this lovely pathway, you will be taken through the newly replanted apple orchard and a stone boulder wall. A terrace and breezeway off the parking lot is a perfect place for cocktail hour for guests to mingle.

What I love about The Inn at Fox Briar Farm: This is such a lovely venue with a farm-like quaint atmosphere. The Inn is beautiful inside room after room. The family that own the venue are so friendly and warm. Donna, one of the owners and directing manager of the events, was right there welcoming everyone and giving guidance to help create a smooth set up for the wedding. After I left the set up for the wedding cake, I took a quick tour of the grounds outside for some photo ops, viewing the ponds with swans swimming, the stone walking bridge and the breezeway back to my car.

Historic Stonebrook

Venue Type: Barn, historic site & farm Vibe: Rustic, warm, timeless, romantic

A truly remarkable journey through this property with its historic 1837 stone bank barn with a 150 guest capacity with dance floor. Sitting on 20 acres of rustic charm and originally used as a working dairy farm. Today, Historic Stonebrook Farm is managed by Wm. Scott & Babs Tyson, who are the sixth generation of the Tyson family on the property, along with their eldest daughter Abby Bryan and her husband Seth.  Their aim is to be responsible caretakers of the land to preserve it for future generations.

Fully heated and air-conditioned. Use of the property to include barn, silo, fields and creek for beautiful photo opportunities. Bridal suite dressing area with private bathroom/shower. Milkhouse groom's room with private bathroom/shower. Exquisite handmade wooden farm tables and matching cross-back wooden chairs designed for indoor use. Kitchen for your caterer including ranges, refrigerators, double sink and prep tables. You have several options for ceremony locations on the property, including but not limited to beneath the large ash tree, amidst the lacebark elm allee, in the barnyard illuminated by hundreds of café lights, or in the heifer barn garden. A bridal swing in the meadow offers an ideal spot for photos. Appointments to visit the property must be made as it remains the private residents of the owners.

What I love about Historic Stonebrook: A genuinely romantic barn-style setting that combines everything in one: meadows, breathtaking trees, a fully renovated barn, barnyard, and silo. Peeking inside the silo felt like stepping into a fairy tale, a sight to behold. The interior of the barn was enchanting, featuring spaciousness with wooden beams and lovely wood floors, a two-story wall of windows, and lighting ideal for photography. The bridal suite was an absolute dream. Very soft and feminine. Perfect for the bridal party preparing for the big day. Meeting Abby and Babs and getting to know them revealed their genuine passion for their work and their pride in what their property has become. I felt a lot of warmth and positivity after completing my tour.

Durham Hill Farm

A photo of a wedding at Durham Hill Farm.
Venue Type: Barn, farm, historic site Vibe: Rustic, inviting, country atmosphere

Durham Hill Farm is located in the picturesque Bucks County countryside, featuring rolling hills and grazing horses. The main barn, constructed in 1812 as a dairy farm, remains one of the most historic and beautiful stone bank barns in Bucks County. Originally called Fritzlyn Farms and owned by William F. Fretz, it was regarded as a "fancy farm" and served as an indoor-outdoor event venue to display dairy cows. In the early 1900s, the farm gained national recognition among farmers in the United States and parts of Europe for breeding prized Guernsey cattle. In 2014, the property was acquired by its current owners, Kevin and Elizabeth. Today, Durham Hill Farm is one of just two legally zoned barn wedding venues in Bedminster Township, PA.

The barn accommodates up to 150 guests which includes indoor and outdoor spaces. Bridal suite with dressing room, private shower and bathroom. There is also a kitchenette and outdoor courtyard perfect for cocktail hour.

What I love about Durham Hill Farm: This barn style venue was so inviting and fun touring through. I love it that each room in the barn has a personality of its own. Beautiful polished wood, stone walls and rustic exposed wood beams gives the space a perfect Bucks County setting for your wedding. Meghan, the event coordinator and venue director, was a pleasure to meet. Very friendly and fun personality, she graciously provided me a tour around the venue, with history behind each room.

Aldie Mansion

Venue Type: Historic Mansion Vibe: historical, impressive architecture, formal

Aldie Mansion originated as a cherished private home. Commissioned by William Mercer, the brother of Henry Chapman Mercer, it was designed as a tribute to the English Tudor manor. This elegant mansion from 1927 reflects an era in America when craftsmanship was considered an art form. The Aldie gargoyles, detailed brickwork, antique tiles, and delightful garden ornaments have been carefully preserved as part of Bucks County's distinctive heritage. Although the early 20th-century estate's period charm enhances any special occasion, the renovated mansion provides the space and facilities of a modern venue, including a 2,400-square-foot ballroom along with a library, gallery, and great hall for smaller gatherings.

Aldie Mansion can seat up to 220 guests with a generous space for the dance floor. There are a variety of options for a romantic ceremony which include by the Tea Garden fountain, the astonishingly extended branches 300 year old Burr Oak tree, the brick courtyard with the Tudor-style estate as your backdrop, overlooking the terrace and gardens from the Great Hall or in the window lined Ballroom. Weddings at Aldie Mansion are managed and coordinated under Jeffrey A Miller Catering.

What I love about Aldie Mansion: The mansion has a unique, mysterious appeal to it with the winding stairs, gargoyle statues, fountains and astonishing architecture. As I toured the rooms, the vibe was an English old world elegance.
